EXECUTIVE TEAM
JOHN B. HYNES, III
CEO & MANAGING PARTNERJohn Hynes is the CEO and Managing Partner of Boston Global Investors. Prior to the formation of BGI in April, 2010, Mr. Hynes spent ten years as CEO and Managing Partner for Gale International and served as the driving force in the company's aggressive expansion both domestically and in Asia. During his tenure at Gale, Mr. Hynes led the successful development of One Lincoln (now known as State Street Financial Center) and initiated both the One Franklin and Seaport Square projects, both located in Boston. He also secured and led the development of the massive New Songdo City project, a US $35 billion, 100 million square foot master planned city near Seoul, South Korea, one of the largest private real estate projects in the world today. Mr. Hynes remains a major shareholder and development partner in New Songdo City. Prior to joining Gale, Mr. Hynes spent ten years as a broker with the Codman Company and R.M. Bradley & Company, and ten years as the local development partner with Lincoln Property Company. During that time he participated in more than three hundred leasing and sales transactions in the Boston market totaling over six million square feet and developed three office projects totaling two million square feet with an aggregate value in excess of one billion dollars.
KEVIN R. BENEDIX
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTORKevin Benedix is responsible for international and domestic financial operations, asset management and the corporate Human Resource and IT functions. Mr. Benedix was part of the Gale International team for eight years, working with the executive team on the day-to-day oversight of investments in domestic and international development projects and real estate. Mr. Benedix entered the private real estate sector with R.M. Bradley & Co. in 1990. While there, he managed the financial operations for over one billion dollars in assets, including Prudential Center, Boston, and a national 800-property portfolio. Following R.M. Bradley, he joined CB Richard Ellis as Controller.
LEN CONLIN
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTORLen Conlin brings 26 years of experience in general contracting, construction management and real estate development. Before moving to Boston Global Investors, he spent ten years with Gale International managing design and construction services for a series of notable projects including One Lincoln Street (State Street Financial Center), Lafayette Lofts, One Franklin, and Seaport Square. Prior to joining Gale, Mr. Conlin worked for Turner Construction, Bovis Lend Lease and Raymond Property Company. During the course of his career, Mr. Conlin has participated in over 100 projects totaling more than 20 million square feet with a combined construction value of four billion dollars.
JOSEPH M. NORRIS
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTORJoseph Norris is responsible for project financing and investment management, including the sourcing, evaluation and execution of new investments, the creation of cash flow projections and the development of business plans to evaluate major transactions. Mr. Norris served in a similar capacity for Gale International, and previously was a Senior Associate of Investing and Investment Management for Morgan Stanley Real Estate. Earlier in his career, Mr. Norris held investment management and analyst roles for Monday Properties and General Investment and Development.
CHARLES D. REID, R.A.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTORCharles Reid manages design and construction for Boston Global Investors. Prior to the formation of BGI, Mr. Reid served in a similar capacity for Gale International for more than eight years, directing the design and construction of over ten million square feet of mixed use projects. Prior to joining Gale International, Mr. Reid spent 18 years as a partner with Tishman Speyer Properties. Previously, he held roles as Project Manager and Senior Associate with a major architectural and engineering firm involved in major U.S. and International projects, including several in the Middle East.
DAVID WAMESTER
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTORDavid Wamester is the Project Executive for Boston Global Investor’s Seaport Square, a new $3.5 billion dollar, mixed-use neighborhood planned for a 23-acre site on Boston's waterfront. Previously Mr. Wamester held the same role for Gale International, leading the master planning and entitlement processes for this 6.3 million square foot development since the project’s inception. Before joining Gale, he was Senior Vice President of Boston Capital Institutional Advisors, responsible for the management and operation of 70 commercial properties comprising more than 10 million square feet. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wamester started the in-house property management function for MGI Property Management and was Vice President of Property Management for the Lincoln Property Company.
